UNITED FOR A BARRIER-FREE ONTARIO
TAKE PART IN AN ONTARIO GOVERNMENT SURVEY OF IMPACT OF ACCESSIBILITY STANDARDS ENACTED UNDER THE ACCESSIBILITY FOR ONTARIANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT
June 7, 2012
The Ontario Government has retained a private organization to consult with members of the public on issues concerning the impact of accessibility standards enacted under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. We have been asked to circulate an announcement of this survey. We encourage everyone to take part in this consultation, and to let others know about it.
We set out below the announcement that we were provided. You can take part in the survey until July 7, 2012.
Invitation to Participate...
How have Ontario’s accessibility standards made a difference?
Cathexis Consulting is conducting consultations to find out what measures should be looked at to learn the impact Ontario’s accessibility standards have on persons with disabilities. We want to focus on the things that are most important to people with disabilities in order to measure whether the legislation and standards are improving their quality of life.
In order to make sure that what is being measured is meaningful to people with disabilities, we want to hear about the things that make your life better.
What’s in it for me?
- You will get to have your views heard
- You will receive a brief summary of the results of the consultations
